Senior SAP Logistics Techno-Functional Consultant (MM / SD / CS / PM)

Contract Details

• Location: Lausanne, Canton of Vaud, Switzerland

• Start Date: January 2027

• Contract Duration: 1 January 2027 – 31 December 2029, renewable annually

• Workload: Approximately 220 person-days per year (~100%)

• On-site Requirements: Minimum 3 days per week on-site during the first 3 months for onboarding and knowledge transfer

• Remote Working Restrictions: Remote access permitted only from Switzerland or the French border zone

• Language: French

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior SAP Logistics Techno-Functional Consultant to support SAP Logistics operations and drive continuous improvements and new developments across the SAP landscape.

The role combines corrective and adaptive maintenance (RUN) with evolutive maintenance and new developments, ensuring system stability, operational efficiency and alignment with the S/4HANA roadmap.

The SAP landscape includes SAP S/4HANA, CRM and BW, with numerous integrations. The adoption of SAP cloud solutions is also planned.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP Logistics Support & Maintenance (RUN)

• Provide daily support to SAP Logistics users and systems across MM, SD, CS and PM.

• Analyse and resolve production incidents according to priority, including order blocks, stock discrepancies, billing issues and integration errors.

• Perform root cause analysis of recurring incidents and implement corrective and adaptive solutions.

• Assess the impact of changes, estimate effort, implement configuration adjustments and corrections, and manage transports and documentation.

• Manage change requests, with and without ChaRM, security patches and SAP Support Packages/Stack Packages, including planning and regression testing.

• Perform system housekeeping, data clean-up, archiving, log analysis and performance monitoring.

• Ensure data consistency and seamless integration with FI/CO processes, particularly MM-FI, SD-CO, FI-AP, FI-AR and CO-PS.

2. Evolutive Maintenance & Solution Design

• Analyse business needs and translate them into functional and technical solutions aligned with SAP standard functionality, best practices and the S/4HANA roadmap.

• Design and implement new or improved logistics processes, including MM-SD flow automation and integration with external tools.

• Assess solution alternatives, prepare recommendations and SWOT analyses, and contribute to business process modelling using BPMN.

• Configure SAP MM, SD, CS and PM and prepare functional and technical specifications.

• Develop and validate Proofs of Concept (POCs), where appropriate.

• Estimate effort, support project planning and maintain a technical risk register for enhancements and mini-projects.

• Coordinate testing, validation, production readiness and deployment of new or enhanced solutions.

3. Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, SAP Logistics users and FI/CO teams.

• Work with technical and functional teams to ensure the consistency and reliability of the SAP landscape.

• Propose process and system optimisations and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Provide user training, document solutions and ensure effective knowledge transfer to the internal team and maintenance team.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Senior-level experience as an SAP Logistics Techno-Functional Consultant.

• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP MM, SD, CS and PM.

• SAP certifications in MM, SD and PM are mandatory.

• Proven experience in SAP Logistics support, corrective and adaptive maintenance, and evolutive enhancements.

• Proven experience with SAP Output Management solutions.

• Strong knowledge of FI/CO integration, particularly FI-AP, FI-AR and CO-PS, as well as MM-FI and SD-CO integration.

• Experience in incident management, root cause analysis, system configuration, testing and deployment.

• Experience in solution design, business requirements analysis, effort estimation and risk management.

• Knowledge of BPMN, SWOT analysis and POCs.

• Strong understanding of SAP standard functionality, best practices and the S/4HANA roadmap.

• Experience with public-sector modules such as FM and PSCD is an advantage.

• Fluent French is mandatory.
