Zusammenfassung

Tractive is seeking an experienced RF Engineer in Austria to optimize RF performance for next-generation pet trackers. You will define RF requirements, run comprehensive validation, and work with hardware and firmware teams to ensure wireless reliability across LTE, GNSS, Wi‑Fi and BLE.

You will conduct antenna tuning, measurements, and certification support while developing automation for RF testing and contributing to mass production success.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of RF engineering experience with design, validation, optimization, and certification of wireless IoT products.
• Hands-on experience with LTE, GNSS, Wi‑Fi, BLE and battery-powered devices.
• Expertise in RF validation methodologies: conducted and radiated testing, OTA, antenna characterization, coexistence testing.
• Proficiency with RF test equipment and RF chambers for EMC/EMI testing.
• Experience with antenna tuning, impedance matching, and global wireless certification requirements.
• Experience developing automation frameworks for RF testing and supporting production manufacturing.

Aufgaben

• Analyze and optimize RF performance for next-generation pet trackers focusing on antenna efficiency, power consumption, and wireless reliability.
• Define RF requirements and validation criteria during product development for LTE, GNSS, Wi-Fi, and BLE.
• Perform comprehensive RF validation and characterization with detailed measurement reports and pass/fail verdicts.
• Conduct passive and active RF measurements including OTA testing and antenna characterization.
• Review RF layouts and provide design recommendations to hardware teams.
• Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams on radio architecture and wireless integration.
• Support certification activities (FCC, CE, IC, RCM) with labs and partners.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for RF instruments and validation workflows.
• Support production RF testing and analyze yield issues.
• Bring innovative ideas and continuous personal growth within the team.
