Zusammenfassung

The University of Vienna invites applications for a postdoctoral Senior Scientist to lead and advance research infrastructure in political communication and election studies. The role emphasizes data pipelines, reproducibility, and international collaboration, with opportunities to publish and teach.

We seek candidates with a strong track record in quantitative methods, content analysis, and experience in managing large datasets, while fluency in German and English is required.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in Political Science or Communication Studies (preferably with a focus on automated content analysis).
• Several years of experience in research management of quantitative social science data.
• Publications in international peer-reviewed journals.

Aufgaben

• Contribute to development and coordination of national and international research infrastructures for political communication and election research.
• Coordinate and integrate international research networks in political communication and election research.
• Organise data collection and linking activities (panel surveys, content analyses, experiments).
• Standardize and improve methods in manual and automated content analysis.
• Engage in teaching and supervision, including PhD supervision and project teaching.
• Participate in evaluation measures and quality assurance.
