An Australian educational institution is seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to oversee payroll operations. You will lead the fortnightly payrun, ensure compliance with laws, and assist in team development. A Bachelor's degree and experience in payroll are essential. The Senior Payroll Officer is responsible for overseeing and performing a wide range of payroll-related activities, including the fortnightly pay run, reconciliations, interpreting awards and contracts, and resolving complex queries. This position plays a key role in supporting the Payroll Team, implementing efficient processes, resolving enquiries, stakeholder management and ensuring compliance.
You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
Your employment is conditional upon the completion of all role required pre-employment or background checks in terms satisfactory to the University. Similarly, your ongoing employment is conditional upon the satisfactory maintenance of all relevant clearances and background check requirements.
