  • Collaborate with business leaders, product managers, and other technical teams to align cloud initiatives with business needs.
  • Manage the design, build, and optimisation of cloud infrastructure services, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of all cloud environments, including monitoring, performance tuning, incident management, and capacity planning.
  • Establish and enforce operational processes, automation standards, and configuration management practices.
FinOps and Cost Management
  • Implement and oversee a FinOps practice to monitor, report, and optimise cloud expenditure.
  • Drive cost optimisation initiatives, including rightsizing, reservation planning, and budget forecasting.
  • Provide regular insights and reporting on consumption and savings opportunities to senior stakeholders.
Governance, Risk, and Compliance
  • Ensure all cloud services comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices (e.g., APRA CPS 234, ISO 27001).
  • Oversee security controls and collaborate closely with the Cyber Security team to manage risks and incidents.
  • Maintain and update operational documentation, risk assessments, and compliance artefacts.
People Leadership and Vendor Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Cloud Engineers and Specialists, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Manage vendor relationships and service delivery from third-party providers, ensuring contractual obligations and service level agreements are met.
  • Promote collaboration across Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams.
