SimplyVision is seeking a Solution Engineer/ Expert (m/f/d) to architect and maintain our Core OS Platform on a Debian-based distribution. You’ll own the build, release pipelines and serve as the escalation point for low-level hardware/software issues, guiding development teams and driving improvements across tooling and processes.

Requirements include 10+ years of Linux mastery, Debian packaging expertise, strong Python and Shell scripting, and advanced English (German a bonus).

Qualifikationen

• Deep, Hands-On Linux Mastery (10+ years).
• Custom Distribution Engineering with Debian focus.
• Expertise in Debian Packaging: create/patch/.deb packaging.
• Strong Scripting and Automation: Python and Shell.
• Fundamental OS knowledge and build systems.
• Advanced English required; German a welcome bonus.

Aufgaben

• Architect and maintain our Core OS Platform: Debian-based distribution, kernel customization, drivers, and Debian packages.
• Master the Build and Release Pipeline for Linux distribution.
• Serve as escalation point for complex, low-level system issues with deep-dive debugging.
• Consult and empower internal development teams on the Linux platform.
• Identify opportunities to improve distribution, tooling, and automation.
