A distinguished academic institution in Austria is seeking a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor to lead teaching and research in Genomics and Genetics. This position requires a PhD and extensive experience in research and program management. The successful candidate will engage in high-quality teaching and publication, contribute to academic leadership, and mentor students. Competitive salary between $141,247 and $187,373 p.a. offered.

Salary Academic Level C ($141,247 - $162,872 p.a.) or Level D ($170,080 - $187,373 p.a.) + 17% Superannuation
Based at the Bundoora campus but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University
The Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor (Genomics and Genetics) will contribute to and lead teaching and research in population genomics, ecogenomics, genetics, epigenetics, bioinformatics, and related areas. The appointment will strengthen the Department of Biology's research in evolutionary biology, environmental adaptation, conservation genomics, ecological genomics, and computational biology.

The School of Science delivers excellence in applied research and education, engaging in strong industry partnerships and producing skilled, industry-ready graduates. It employs over 130 academic and around 100 FTE research staff across five departments: Applied Chemistry and Environmental Sciences, Biology, Food Technology and Nutrition, Mathematics and Geospatial Sciences, and Physics.
The School has internationally recognised strengths in quantum science technologies, advanced materials chemistry, catalysis, and water and environmental sciences, as well as emerging expertise in medical biotechnologies, geospatial technologies, mathematics, and food technologies.
