Job summary

University of Vienna is seeking a Senior Lecturer & Researcher in analytical chemistry. You will teach Bachelor’s and Master’s courses, lead practicals, and develop digital labs for large data sets. You will also guide students in data analysis and apply digital methods in chemistry.

The role requires several years of independent teaching, strong didactic skills, and fluent German. A commitment to teaching excellence and involvement in administrative duties are expected.

Qualifications

• Completed Master’s/Diploma in chemistry and several years of independent teaching experience at a post-secondary institution.
• Didactic skills and enthusiasm for university teaching are essential.
• Familiarity with e-learning and basic programming (Python / R) is required.
• Very good knowledge of German is expected.

Responsibilities

• Teach at Bachelor’s and Master’s level in Chemistry.
• Contribute to laboratory practicals and develop digital practicals for large data sets.
• Revise current scientific state of the art and pursue didactic training.
• Participate in teaching administration and organization.
