Job summary

The University of Vienna invites applications for a Senior Lecturer (instructional teaching) in organic chemistry. The role focuses on organizing, developing and teaching organic chemistry laboratory courses within the Bachelor of Chemistry and related programs, emphasizing hands-on learning and safety.

You will lead wet chemistry experiments, guide students at various knowledge levels, and participate in teaching, research and administration.

Qualifications

• Completed Master's/Diploma programme in the field of chemistry.
• Enthusiasm for passing on knowledge and for university teaching.
• Didactic skills / experience in e-learning.
• Very good knowledge of German.

Responsibilities

• Teach at Bachelor's level in Chemistry and related programs.
• Lead and coordinate laboratory courses in organic chemistry.
• Guide students during wet chemical experiments and ensure safety and lab practices.
• Participate in administration and organizational tasks related to teaching.
