Make Health & Safety and Digital Solutions Real!

Are you ready to drive digital transformation in the world of production, with a focus on health, safety, and environmental excellence?

At Borealis, we’re seeking an experienced Senior IT specialist with a strong background in Health, Safety, Quality & Environment (HSEQ) to join our Business Ecosystems team. You will play a crucial role in shaping smart IT solutions, optimizing operational processes, and strengthening the interface between technology and business—with a clear focus on supporting and enhancing our HSE capabilities.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders—especially in HSE and Quality —and IT, translating functional needs into efficient SAP-based solutions.
  • Design, implement, and improve IT systems that support HSE processes, including incident management, risk assessments, compliance tracking, and preventive maintenance using SAP S/4HANA.
  • Collaborate closely with HSE, Quality and production teams to identify digital opportunities and improve safety and sustainability performance through smarter systems.
  • Support non-SAP systems for Electronic Working Permits, Risk Management, IUCLID, Chesar, and Hazop-related tools.
  • Provide support for SAP modules, including Product Compliance (PC), Product Safety (PS), Dangerous Goods (DG), Substance Volume Tracking (SVT), Poison Center Notification, and Quality Management (QM).
  • Coordinate EHS Expert Server setups, and WWI template updates, including 3E regulatory content package management.
  • Assist with vulnerability handling, and incident management via ServiceNow.
About you
  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in IT, ideally in production or process industries, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA (particularly EHS & QM).
  • Proven experience working with HSE and Quality processes and requirements, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing context.
  • A strong understanding of enterprise system architecture, process design, and end-to-end solution delivery.
  • Analytical, structured, and proactive—capable of independently driving improvement initiatives.
  • Comfortable working in agile teams and cross-functional environments.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
