Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Austria is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Business Unit Finance team in Vienna. You will serve as a trusted Finance partner to Commercial and functional leaders across Austria, turning financial data into actionable insights for planning, investments and resource allocation.

You will gain exposure to a broad pharmaceutical portfolio and collaborate with regional partners while building expertise in analytics, business partnering and digital

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Typically 3–5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, controlling, commercial finance, or a comparable analytical role.
  • Experience in partnering with business stakeholders in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Advanced Excel and financial-modelling skills; Power BI, Anaplan or automation tools are an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently within a team.
  • Fluent English; business-fluent German is an advantage.

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Business Unit Finance team in Vienna. In this high-visibility role, you will serve as a trusted Finance partner to Commercial and functional leaders across Austria, turning financial and market data into clear recommendations that shape planning, investment and resource-allocation decisions. You will gain broad exposure to senior stakeholders, a dynamic pharmaceutical portfolio and regional Finance partners, while building your expertise in business partnering, analytics and digital transformation.

As a key member of Business Unit Finance, you will:

  • Act as a trusted Finance partner to Austrian Commercial and functional teams, bringing challenge, insight and clear decision support.
  • Own and continuously improve core planning, reporting, forecasting and performance-management processes.
  • Use analytics, automation and simplified ways of working to create more time for forward-looking insights and business partnership.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Commercial, Medical, Market Access and other functions to understand business drivers and convert them into actionable financial insights.
  • Support the end-to-end planning and forecasting cycle, including sales, gross-to-net, operating expenses, headcount and cash flow.
  • Deliver timely management reporting, variance analysis and forward-looking commentary; highlight risks, opportunities and recommended actions.
  • Coordinate key close and management-reporting activities for the Austrian business, ensuring accurate submissions, clear variance explanations and effective collaboration with Global Services and other Finance partners.
  • Develop business cases, scenario analyses and resource-allocation recommendations that support growth priorities, product launches and portfolio decisions, and clearly track the financial impact of approved investments.
  • Maintain strong financial governance, data quality and compliance, including support for relevant controls and revenue assessments.
  • Drive simplification, standardisation and digitalisation using tools such as Power BI, Excel, Anaplan and workflow automation.
  • Lead selected projects and collaborate with local, regional and global teams to share best practices and deliver sustainable improvements.

Qualifications And Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.

  • Experience in partnering with business stakeholders in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry
  • Advanced Excel and financial-modelling skills are required. Experience with Power BI, Analysis for Office, Anaplan or automation tools is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while contributing to a close-knit team.
  • Fluent English, enabling effective communication with local stakeholders and international partners. Business-fluent German is an advantage.

The Anticipated Base Pay Range For This Position Is

€69,000.00 - €109,480.00
