YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain embedded software for a wireless intercom system.
• Autonomously plan, design, implement, and test components for the embedded software and the Linux operating system.
• Demonstrate ownership of dedicated areas of the system’s software architecture.
• Participate in sprint planning and cross-functional company initiatives that foster collaboration.
• Level-up the team through code reviews and by creating reference code.
• Mentor and grow junior developers through paired coding and being a resource.
• Conduct code reviews and make technical contributions to product architecture as well as getting involved in solving bugs and delivering small features.
• Generate and implement process improvements.
• Improve product quality, security, and performance.
• Engage with business and technology requirements in design & development.

THAT'S YOU

• University degree in a technical discipline preferably in computer engineering and/or electronics.
• Experience in embedded software development.
• Very good knowledge of C++ including STL and object-oriented software design. Experience in test-driven development (TDD) is an advantage.
• Experience with Linux and tools such as git, Jira, Confluence.
• Good knowledge about standard Internet protocols is a plus.
• The candidate is expected to be self-driven, with strong problem-solving skills, and is committed to developing high-quality software.
• Passionate about programming and all aspects of software engineering.
• Pro-active team player who works on own initiative, result-oriented, asking and giving assistance to other team members.
• Good communicator with the ability to cross-domain thinking and willingness to collaborate closely with other company functions (engineering, management, customers, manufacturing).
• Fluent in English (spoken and written), German is a plus.
