Zusammenfassung

Novartis in Schaftenau, Austria seeks a Senior Expert to lead downstream development projects within the DSP Development team. You will steer portfolio pipeline activities, guide experiments and ensure alignment with development and submission strategies.

The role requires strong chromatographic, process engineering and data science skills, with English mandatory and German preferred. It offers onsite work with potential hybrid options and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifikationen

• Completed studies in biotechnology, process engineering, biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical technology, technical chemistry or pharmacy.
• Experience in downstream processing, especially chromatography systems (e.g. ÄKTA).
• Hands-on with statistical discovery software (e.g. JMP).
• Proficiency in Python, R or SQL is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across functions in a matrix environment.

Aufgaben

• Lead and organize downstream process development activities for portfolio projects.
• Perform chromatography, cross flow filtration and membrane separation for purification of recombinant proteins at lab and pilot scale.
• Plan, organize, perform and document experiments; manage multiple activities.
• Document studies in electronic systems per defined standards.
• Interpret results and support design of next experiments; supervise related tasks.
• Ensure quality, safety, environment and information security standards; drive continuous improvement.
• Generate scientific documents and support generation of registration documents under supervision.
• Support technology transfers and process steering controls.
• Organize laboratory and generate lab procedures, reports and SOPs.
• Deliver tasks on time with right first time quality.
• Communicate across interfaces; lead troubleshooting and transfer know-how.
