Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement scalable data pipelines for telemetry data from ESLs and EdgeSense devices. The role involves developing data models, workflows, and maintaining data processing components with a focus on Snowflake Data Cloud. Collaboration with analysts and contributing to data architecture and governance are key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and implement robust, scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform telemetry data from ESLs and EdgeSense devices.
2. Build and evolve data models and workflows to support analytics and reporting.
3. Develop and maintain data processing components with a focus on Snowflake Data Cloud.
4. Collaborate with analysts to ensure high-quality, accessible telemetry datasets.
5. Contribute to the design of a modern, flexible data architecture, encouraging innovation and adoption of best-fit tools and technologies.
6. Define and enforce data quality, observability, and governance practices.
7. Lead and mentor on engineering best practices, including testing, documentation, CI/CD, and data reliability engineering.

Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or another scripting language for data processing and automation.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and distributed data processing.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud (modeling, optimization, security, performance tuning).
• Experience working with telemetry data from devices, sensors, or field systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and related services.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
