Job summary

Kommunalkredit Austria AG in Vienna is seeking a Senior Data Engineer/Platform Administrator to shape our data platform and deliver data-driven insights across the organization.

You will manage Snowflake, automate with Terraform, and build robust ELT/ETL pipelines using SQL and Python, collaborating with Finance, Risk, Banking, Markets and Operations. Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and Python skills; experience building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake for data warehousing.
• Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure and transformations.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP data services.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform administration.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar platforms.
• Experience with Terraform and IaC principles.
• Solid understanding of data governance and security.
• Fluent in English; German a plus.

• Enforce Security and Compliance: Manage role-based access control, encryption, and audit policies.
• Document and Improve Processes: Maintain clear documentation, standards, and operational runbooks.

In accordance with the collective agreement for bank employees and bankers, we guarantee remuneration that aligns with market standards and is tailored to your experience and qualifications. For this position, the yearly compensation starts at EUR 65,000.
