Job summary

OMV in Austria seeks a senior data engineer to build and evolve end-to-end data pipelines on a modern cloud lakehouse. You will connect ERP and enterprise apps, define quality checks and monitoring, and embed governance with Data Domain Owners.

You will enable AI-ready data with feature engineering and vector indexes. The role requires a Master’s in a related field, 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and Python skills, and knowledge of GDPR and DataOps practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in data engineering with production pipelines on cloud lakehouse or data warehouse platforms.
• Expert SQL and Python with data modelling and governance experience.
• Experience integrating ERP and enterprise data into analytical platforms, GDPR aware.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve end-to-end data pipelines on a modern cloud lakehouse platform.
• Connect ERP and enterprise apps to the lakehouse using connectors and ingestion patterns.
• Define quality checks, reconciliations and monitoring; resolve issues at source.
• Embed governance, manage metadata, lineage and access with Data Domain Owners.
• Prepare data for ML/GenAI, including feature engineering and vector search.
