RetInSight GmbH is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to shape our data platform for AI-powered medical imaging analysis. The role focuses on scalable cloud architectures, automated pipelines, and reusable tooling to onboard new studies, devices, and indications.

You will work with Python and SQL, architect data ingestion and validation, and drive data quality, security, and observability. Hybrid Vienna-based role with strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in data engineering or backend/platform roles with production cloud pipelines.
• Expert Python and SQL with data modeling and high-volume processing.
• Experience with orchestration platforms like Airflow, Prefect or Dagster and IaC tooling.
• Strong English communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Define scalable architectures for ingestion, validation, transformation, versioning, and delivery of medical imaging data.
• Automate retrospective AI analysis pipelines and standard outputs.
• Build reusable interfaces, APIs, schemas, and shared data platform components.
• Implement orchestration, scheduling, dependency management, and monitoring for cloud pipelines.
• Establish data-quality rules, lineage, audit trails, and observability.
• Apply security, privacy, access-control, retention, and CI/CD practices; optimize reliability and cost.
• Lead architecture and code reviews, mentor colleagues, and maintain documentation.
