TietoTech Consulting seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines that drive business value. You will collaborate with stakeholders to implement governance and ensure reliable data workflows across teams.

Requirements include 5+ years in data engineering, strong Python/SQL, and cloud experience (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP welcome). A consulting mindset and fluency in German and English are essential.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience designing scalable data solutions and platforms.
• Strong data modeling skills (dimensional, normalization/denormalization).
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP welcome) and tools like Databricks and Microsoft Fabric; Medallion architecture.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with openness to AI-assisted stakeholders.
• Software engineering mindset; Git, CI/CD, and modern development practices.
• Able to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Consulting mindset with a customer-centric approach.
• Fluency in German (C1) and English for stakeholder discussions.
• Curious about emerging technologies; continuous learning mindset.
• High ownership and self-motivation; ability to learn quickly and challenge status quo.

Aufgaben

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms and data solutions tailored to business needs, including governance structures and access control.
• Design, implement and optimize robust data pipelines using modern frameworks such as Databricks or similar technologies.
• Manage and enhance CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments, including containerization and orchestration.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor and sparring partner for our customers.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Monitor, optimize and ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of data workflows.
• Stay up to date with trends in data engineering and apply innovative approaches.
