Tieto in Austria is seeking a (Senior) Data & AI Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms and AI solutions that drive business value and smarter decisions.

You will act as a trusted technical advisor, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Austria and Germany, implement Databricks-based pipelines, and lead CI/CD with container orchestration. German (C1) and English are required; a strong ownership mindset will help you excel in this hybrid role.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing scalable data solutions and data platforms.
• Strong data modeling skills (dimensional modeling, normalization/denormalization).
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP welcome) and tools like Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong programming in Python and SQL; openness to AI-assisted solutions.
• Solid software engineering mindset with Git, CI/CD, and modern development practices.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Consulting mindset with customer-centric approach.
• Fluency in German (C1) and English for stakeholder discussions.
• Passion for evolving data & AI technologies and a continuous learning mindset.
• Databricks and MS Azure certifications are a plus.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms and AI solutions with governance and access control.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using Databricks or similar frameworks.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments, including containerization and orchestration.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Monitor and optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of data workflows.
• Stay up to date with data engineering trends and apply innovative approaches.
