Overview

The Senior Cloud Incident Response Analyst will lead and manage critical cloud security incidents. This involves investigating, containing, and mitigating threats within our cloud environments, providing expert guidance on cloud-specific vulnerabilities. We seek extensive experience in cloud platforms, incident response, and a strong technical cybersecurity background.

Your New Team: You will join our dynamic Security team within the Technology division at Auto & General, Australia's fastest-growing major Motor and Home insurer. We are dedicated to safeguarding our customers\' futures, fostering high performance and integrity. You will contribute to proactively defending our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage cloud security incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and mitigation.
• Provide expert guidance on cloud-specific threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices.
• Support the establishment and uplift of advanced incident response capabilities for A&G Cloud Infrastructure.
• Assist with critical incident resolution, threat analysis, and vulnerability management.
• Contribute to the delivery of cyber security projects and initiatives.
• Support the review and enhancement of incident response tooling and forensics environments.
• Apply knowledge of automation foundations, DevOps/Cloud industry practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Act as a digital security ambassador, fostering effective communication and relationships across the business.
• Ensure adherence to APRA\'s prudential standards and contribute to a robust risk management framework.
• Be available for on-call or shift support outside of normal business hours as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 7 years\' experience in cyber security, with a strong focus on Incident Response and cloud security.
• Demonstrated expertise in incident response is essential.
• Proficiency in AWS and/or GCP cloud security controls and technologies.
• Proven network experience across cloud and on-premise environments, including design, implementation, and support.
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies, DevSecOps principles, and tooling.
• Strong understanding of network security practices and SIEM solutions.
• Skilled in DevOps toolchains, including Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps.
• Cloud Security Certifications (AWS, GCP) are desirable.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC2 is desirable.
• Hybrid Work: Work from home 2 days a week, with our office located in Toowong.
