Overview

GreenTec Group (GreenTec Consulting & Sigma Geo Environment) is a specialist consulting firm based in Brisbane and is currently looking to grow our Brisbane team with exciting design and construction projects located Australia wide. We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer with Civil and/or Geotechnical experience and qualifications.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the role will involve senior engineering functions from design, modelling, deliverable development, construction management and planning support, as well as maintaining client relationships, developing new business and mentoring junior staff.

Role and responsibilities

• Provide practical design and construction support in a timely manner for landfill, stormwater, mining and CSG (large earthworks structures).
• Design, coordination and project management of projects from feasibility through to construction.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
• Complete, review and approve civil engineering designs, specifications, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
• Participate in project management activities, including progress tracking, financial management, and risk management.
• Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations.

About you

• Bachelors degree in Civil OR Geotechnical engineering
• Ideally you will be registered as RPEQ (Civil/Geotechnical) OR working towards this certification
• Minimum 6 years experience in engineering sector within Australia
• Previous or current experience within an engineering consultancy would be highly advantageous
• This role will primarily be office based, with some travel
• A positive can-do attitude and team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in landfill engineering and dam engineering would be advantageous
• Strong attention to detail, able to make decisions quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
