Jobgether is seeking aSenior Back-end Engineer to design and build scalable backend systems in PHP/Node.js. You’ll work on high-load architectures, contribute across ecosystems, and own initiatives from design to deployment.

The role emphasizes performance, reliability, and collaboration with product teams in an evolving remote environment within EMEA. Strong experience with PHP 8.1+, Symfony/Laravel, Docker and Kubernetes is expected.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years backend software development experience
• Strong proficiency in PHP or Node.js
• Experience with high-load distributed architectures
• Familiarity with PHP 8.1+, Symfony/Laravel/Yii2/Doctrine
• Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis; AWS, Kubernetes, Docker
• Good English communication skills
• Experience with LLMs and coding assistants is a plus

Aufgaben

• Design, develop, test, and ship backend solutions that scale and are maintainable
• Work with PHP or Node.js and contribute across both ecosystems
• Design and improve high-load architectures using modern practices
• Collaborate with Product Managers and engineers to translate business needs into solutions
• Take end-to-end ownership from design through deployment and improvement
• Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for platform improvements
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
• Troubleshoot issues and optimize performance in production
• Share knowledge through mentoring and sessions
• Leverage AI-assisted tools for development and testing
