Job summary

Telekom Austria AG in Austria seeks a Senior Azure Architect (Security & Development) to design, implement, and optimize Microsoft Sentinel-based security solutions for enterprise customers. You will lead workshops in German, design end-to-end Sentinel architectures, and develop Logic Apps for automation.

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on Azure architecture with security focus.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel or Azure Data Lake.
• Strong development background (automation, scripting, integration).
• Fluent German for workshops and documentation.
• Good English for international teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer workshops and technical discovery sessions in German.
• Design end-to-end Microsoft Sentinel architectures including data connectors, Log Analytics workspaces, analytics rules, playbooks, workbooks, and role models.
• Develop and maintain Azure Logic Apps for security automation, enrichment, and integration with third‑party systems.
• Design and configure security controls: Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC concepts, PIM, managed identities, app registrations, service principals, and Conditional Access policies.
• Advise customers on Azure licensing and cost models related to Defender, Sentinel pricing, data ingestion, and retention.
• Design Azure monitoring and logging strategies: Log Analytics design, data ingestion, diagnostics, metrics, alerts, and cost optimization.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines (GitHub) for Sentinel content and infrastructure across client environments with quality gates and testing.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams.
