Mars are partnering with a mid-tier mining organisation that is looking for a Senior Accountant/Pronto Systems Administrator to join the team initially on an interim basis.

As the business is at a growth phase, the head of finance has gained approval to implement Pronto across their corporate finance and project teams.

This position will be well suited to an experienced and qualified accountant with a proven track record supporting Pronto implementation/enhancement projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support the Pronto ERP system, focusing on financial and project accounting modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Job Costing).
• Act as a bridge between Finance and IT, translating business requirements into system solutions and enhancements.
• Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards to support financial analysis, project tracking, and performance management.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes by ensuring data integrity and timely system reconciliations.
• Provide hands-on support and training to finance and project teams on Pronto functionality and best practices.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by leveraging system tools and ensuring accurate project cost tracking.
• Lead or support system upgrades, new module implementations, and integration projects related to financial and project data.
• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and implement automation or workflow improvements within Pronto.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance and CPA/CA qualified
• Proven experience working as a Systems Accountant or working on a Pronto implementation.
• Strong working knowledge of Pronto ERP, particularly financial modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, etc.).
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and management accounting.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Mining experience is non-negotiable
