Light for the World is seeking a Senior Accountant in Vienna to ensure accounting integrity across multiple legal entities and countries. You’ll prepare statements, support consolidation, and collaborate with auditors, donors, and country offices across Africa and Europe.

You will join a team that values technical expertise, internal controls, and knowledge sharing through workshops. The role offers a meaningful, global impact and a flexible work environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in finance operations of an international organisation or in an audit/advisory company.
• Strong understanding of Austrian and international accounting principles.
• Expertise in consolidation processes and fiduciary reporting.
• Confident with accounting software and ERP systems; ERP implementation experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Tech-savvy and quick to adopt new technologies.
• Hands-on mentality and ability to run accounting workshops.
• Enjoy working in a multicultural environment.
• Excellent English language skills; German is a strong advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Own accounting integrity and compliance across all our legal entities.
• Prepare financial statements in 10 countries with our teams.
• Be the focal point for accounting questions and fiduciary reporting.
• Support consolidation and ensure donors can rely on data.
• Assist audits and implement improvements to internal controls.
• Strengthen and connect financial and internal control processes.
• Run accounting workshops and trainings across entities.
• Collaborate with FP&A and Project Controlling to close periods on time.
