Position Overview

As an Area Manager based in the Hills Shire area, you will oversee and support the operations of five existing services, with an exciting opportunity to guide the launch of two new centres. You’ll work closely with Centre Directors to ensure high-quality early learning experiences, compliance with standards, and strong team performance across all centres. This role offers the chance to shape the growth and success of multiple services, mentor leaders, and drive excellence in education, culture, and community engagement throughout the region.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance: Oversee centres’ adherence to policies, licensing, legislation, regulations, NQF, EYLF, and NQS standards.
  • Operational leadership: Develop and implement programs, systems, and processes to ensure smooth, high-quality centre operations.
  • Team management & development: Guide and support staff in professional growth, performance, and achievement of individual goals.
  • Financial & administrative oversight: Manage budgets, reporting, audits, ACECQA requirements, and liaise with regulatory bodies.
  • Centre environment & safety: Maintain safe, welcoming environments for children, families, staff, and visitors, supporting WH&S policies.
  • Occupancy & quality improvement: Assist Nominated Supervisors in achieving maximum enrolment and ensure centres are prepared for Assessment & Rating, QIP, and accreditation standards.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s in early childhood education (or ACECQA-recognised equivalent); Diploma-qualified applicants will also be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years teaching experience in early childhood education.
  • Proven multisite management experience overseeing 5 or more centres.
  • Current National Police Check (issued within the last 6 months).
  • Team-oriented mindset with a passion for inspiring educators and children.
  • Strong business acumen and operational leadership skills.
  • Genuine commitment to delivering high-quality learning experiences and care.
  • Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
