Used Car Sales Manager - Melbourne

Our client is a high-volume, pre-owned vehicle sales facility located in Brooklyn, Melbourne. They are seeking a highly capable retail Sales Manager to oversee their pre-owned vehicle sales operations. This dealership is part of a large dealer group, offering excellent career growth opportunities and job security.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the daily operations of the Sales Department, including preparing monthly management reports, managing expenditure and budgets, and mentoring sales consultants.
  2. Identify and prospect new retail customers within the primary marketing area.
  3. Understand customer objectives, buying criteria, and decision-making processes.
  4. Build rapport and establish long-term business relationships.
  5. Lead all aspects of the sales process, from prospecting to delivery; assist less experienced sales consultants.
  6. Promote company products and services, including Car Care, Finance, and Insurance.
  7. Attend industry and business events as required.
Experience
  • Previous automotive sales management experience, with demonstrated leadership in a pre-owned vehicle retail environment.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills to manage departmental tasks.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and database management to maximize output.
  • Professional approach with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate sales staff to meet targets.
