At Corteva Agriscience, we are seeking a Safety Specialist (m/w/d). Please note that there is NO relocation allowance or visa sponsorship available for this position.

Responsibilities - What You Will Do:

How will you help us grow? It matters to us, and it matters to you!

• Assist the SPD sites in Germany, Austria, Hungary, and Serbia within the Safety Community with standard implementation, revisions, and tracking.
• Lead the transition of standards & policies into safety excellence in seasonal activities.
• Ensure safety training programs are adequate, consistent, and up-to-date across communities.
• Prepare documents and train on site standard operating procedures.
• Train and mentor full-time, part-time, seasonal, and contingent staff.
• Partner with the EHS&S Community Lead to facilitate Safety Community meetings and be part of the Europe SPD Safety Network.
• Drive harmonization of safety standards within and across communities.
• Build SPD work activity knowledge aligned with EHS&S goals and execution.
• Bridge standards to behaviors and choices.
• Ensure that country and facility safety and security policies are communicated, followed, and enforced.
• Attend regional safety meetings as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements - Who You Are:

What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?

• 2-year degree in Safety or a related field.
• 5 years of related education and/or work experience in training, operations, manufacturing, agriculture, warehousing, etc.
• Bilingual fluency in English and German is required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Experience in occupational safety or related fields.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to create and facilitate training for various group sizes.
• Proficiency in computer systems including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., with quick adaptability to new software.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including travel up to 40% for site visits, training, and field activities.
• Passion for safety and willingness to acquire certifications to become a Safety Expert.
• Familiarity with corporate safety procedures, standards, and policies; experience with risk assessments and incident investigations is a plus.

Preferences - It Would Be Great If You Have:

• Subject matter expertise in seed research safety operations.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in agriculture, biology, or related scientific fields.
• Willingness to gain certification in Occupational Health and Safety.

Physical Requirements:

• Work outdoors during planting seasons.
• Ability to wear PPE/RPE as required.
• Willingness to work outside normal hours during peak seasons.

The minimum salary for the Safety Specialist position (m/w/d) is €3,500 gross per month based on full-time employment, with willingness to pay above this amount.
