Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking an experienced RF/Analog Layout Engineer to contribute to groundbreaking RF transceiver designs in advanced CMOS technologies.

You will floor-plan with RF IC design and the RF system team, producing block- and transistor-level layouts with verification from start to finish. You will review routing, signal path integrity, IQ matching and coupling, collaborate with packaging teams to understand de-sense and parasitics, and participate in cross-functional design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency with CALIBRE DRC, LVS, ANTENNA-DRC.
• Knowledge of Cadence layout tools.
• English fluency required.

Minimum Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, and a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry work experience.
• Good proficiency in the interpretation of CALIBRE DRC, LVS, ANTENNA-DRC, etc.
• Knowledge of CADENCE layout tools
• English language fluency is required for this position

Preferred Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of custom RF/analog layout experience with extensive knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS and FinFET technologies
• Knowledge of layout techniques for device matching, parasitics reduction, RF shielding, and efficient high-frequency routing
• Proven understanding of RF building blocks such as LNAs, mixers, VCOs, DCOs, PAs, etc.
• Good understanding of RC delay, electro-migration, and coupling effects
• High-level proficiency in the interpretation of CALIBRE DRC, LVS, ANTENNA-DRC, etc.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multi-functional teams
• Experience in working with international teams

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this role is between €77,100 and €136,100 and reflects a full-time equivalent. Your base pay will depend on contractual hours, skills, qualifications, experience, location, and any relevant collective bargaining agreement provisions.

Apple employees are eligible to participate in the Apple Inc. discretionary stock programs. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
