WU Vienna University of Economics and Business seeks a First Stage Researcher (R1) for part-time 30 hours/week starting December 1, 2026, for up to six years. The role focuses on studying human behaviour in organisations, addressing AI, changing work practices, sustainability, and well-being.

This position opens doors to an academic career or future business roles. You will join the Interdisciplinary Institute for Management and Organisational Behaviour in the Department of Management,

Qualifikationen

• Academic degree in Business Administration, Management, or related subject with a focus on Organisational Behaviour or Work & Organisational Psychology, enabling doctoral enrollment at WU.
• Passion for research and publishing in prestigious journals.
• Solid knowledge in organisational behaviour.
• Knowledge of quantitative and/or qualitative methods and software (Mplus, R, SPSS, Stata, NVivo, Atlas).
• Excellent German and English skills in speech and writing.
• Willingness to teach courses in German using multimedia formats.
• Curious, proactive, independent yet collaborative.

Aufgaben

• Research with impact on timely organisational issues and publish findings.
• Write a dissertation as part of doctoral track.
• Collaborate in teaching and student supervision.
• Attend and co-organise international conferences and engage with research partners.
• Perform administrative and organisational tasks to support teaching and research.
