Zusammenfassung

XUND is building a new data backbone for healthcare, and this Senior Data Engineer role is core to turning clinical data into a unified knowledge graph. You will design data models with ontologies (SNOMED-CT, FHIR, UMLS) and collaborate with medical experts, product teams and data scientists to deliver scalable, production-grade software.

You will work on diverse data pipelines, graph databases, and inference engines, shaping the technical direction and engineering best practices within an agile

Qualifikationen

• MSc or PhD in computer science, mathematics, or related field.
• +4 years of proven industry experience with medical data or data engineering.
• Strong knowledge of graph databases, query languages and inference systems.

Aufgaben

• Find creative uses of different database types and data pipelines to ensure patient data and medical knowledge stay consistent and interoperable.
• Develop and integrate parts of our clinical inference engine relying on rule-based and statistical models.
• Design and extend clinical data models using ontologies (e.g., SNOMED-CT, FHIR, UMLS) to turn healthcare data into rich, queryable graph structures.
• Translate research insights into scalable, production-grade software in an agile team.
• Work closely with medical experts to capture clinical workflows and validate ontology mappings.
• Shape the technical direction, schema design, and engineering best practices across the team.
