Job summary

Aeolus Robotics in Vienna seeks a Robotics Systems & Embedded Engineer to bridge our software stack with real-world hardware. You will design real-time software for robotic components, focusing on sensor integration and arm control, while maintaining interfaces to navigation and perception systems.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of professional software development, preferably in robotics.
• Strong C++ and Linux skills with embedded/real-time focus.

Responsibilities

• Design real-time software for robotic components, focusing on sensor integration and arm control.
• Maintain and improve C++ interfaces to navigation, perception, and manipulation stacks.
• Integrate and calibrate sensors for reliable data flow from hardware to ROS-based systems.
• Test, debug, and optimize performance on Vienna hardware.
• Collaborate with a global team to diagnose hardware–software interface issues and implement robust recovery.
