Qualifikationen

• Degree in Physics, Optics, Photonics, Optical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience setting up, aligning, and characterizing optical experiments.
• Experience with bulk-optical, micro-optical, and fiber-optical systems.
• Proficiency in English; ability to communicate across disciplines.

Aufgaben

• Develop optical and fiber-optical systems from concepts to compact implementations.
• Define optical system architectures, requirements, interfaces, performance budgets, and verification concepts.
• Estimate and optimize system performance using simulations and analytical models.
• Perform tolerance and error-budget analyses for manufacturing and alignment effects.
• Assemble micro-optical systems using cleaning, alignment, bonding, and curing processes.
• Carry out active and passive alignment of optical components.
• Take ownership of MAIT activities for optical systems from prototype to reproducible manufacturing.
• Support interdisciplinary integration of optical systems with electronics, software, and mechanics.
