Lam Research in Villach, Austria is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Clean Product Line and help drive product quality across the lifecycle. You’ll support performance and continuous improvement of product quality, collaborating with development, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, field quality, and regional teams.

You will work on root-cause investigations, monitor quality metrics, and lead cross-functional improvement initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• +5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or equivalent work experience.
• Technical background in semiconductor equipment, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.
• Fundamental understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and experience applying quality standards and processes.
• Experience with quality methods such as 8D, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, FMEA, or similar problem-solving approaches.
• Project management capabilities and the ability to lead cross‑functional improvement activities.
• Strong data analysis capabilities, including data mining, trend analysis, interpretation of quality metrics, and translation of findings into actionable conclusions.
• Fluent English skills are required; German language skills are beneficial.
• Quality certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent are a plus.

The impact you’ll make

You will support the performance and continuous improvement of product quality throughout the entire product lifecycle — from product concept and development through market introduction, volume manufacturing, and end of product life. With a strong customer focus, you will help identify, investigate, and eliminate non-conformances from the global installed base of our products through structured root cause and corrective action processes. In this role, you will act as a key quality interface within the Clean Product Line, collaborating across development, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, field quality, and regional quality teams to drive quality excellence.

What We're Offering

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in the occupation group F. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
