Talent is recruiting for a Project Manager with proven experience leading an ERP transition, preferably HR or Payroll or Workforce Management experience.

The Project Manager - Transition plays a pivotal role in steering the seamless transition to a new Workforce Management platform. The role is hands-on, responsible for orchestrating all aspects of the transition from planning the cutover to hypercare to handover to BAU, ensuring minimal disruption to the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Craft, execute and monitor completion of detailed transition plans including cutover, business readiness, transition to support and hypercare.
- Lead coordination across departments including IT, HR, external vendors to ensure all readiness tasks are aligned and delivered on schedule
- Coordinate resource allocation and manage dependencies across workstreams within the organisation
- Manage cutover activities, final data migration, go live ramp up and risk mitigation strategies
- Serve as the central point for transition among the Program leadership team, IT Services, HR and vendors
- Orchestrate hypercare support for rapid issue resolution and system stabilisation
- Plan for and execute the formal handover to BAU teams
- Spot potential issues during the transition and proactively create strategies to reduce disruption
- Prepare status reports and updates for senior governance forums
- Facilitate information handovers and ensure documentation is thorough and accessible
- Ensure the transition complies with company policies, industry standards and prepares the organisation for steady state
- Manage a small direct team including a cutover specialist
Selection Criteria
We are looking for an exceptional and experienced Transition Project Manager. You will have:
- Proven experience leading an ERP transition, preferably HR or Payroll or Workforce Management
- Strong project or transition management, background with multi stakeholder integration
- Strong experience in managing project schedules, resources and deliverables during a critical support phase
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to lead teams during stressful situations and make quick decisions to minimise disruptions
- Excellent problem-solving, time management and decision-making abilities
- Demonstrated high level of accuracy and attention to detail and quality and timeliness of completed work, including written reports and presentations
- Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated, combined with a high level of initiative, drive and enthusiasm
- Experience with Workforce Management (Time and Attendance, Rostering, Scheduling) systems. Kronos/UKG would be ideal
- Experience working in the higher education sector
