AT&S in Leoben, Austria, seeks a PMO Manager Corporate Functions to design and operate the project portfolio function across the organization. You will establish governance, reporting standards and stakeholder relationships to support a fast-growing business.

The role requires strong PMO experience, fluency in English (German a plus) and a track record in adopting AI-assisted project delivery. Regular presence in Leoben with flexible working arrangements is offered.

Qualifikationen

• Five years of PMO/portfolio management experience or equivalent.
• Degree in Business Administration or Finance or related field; PMP/IPMA is a plus.
• Solid command of project governance, controls, prioritization, and transparent resourcing.

PMO Manager Corporate Functions

In your role, you will design and establish how project portfolio management operates in this part of the organization, creating the transparency, reporting, standards, and stakeholder relationships needed to support a fast-growing business.

Your Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a reliable portfolio view for your area - which projects are running, how they are progressing, and what they require in budget and resources.
• Apply the company-wide project management standards consistently: run gate reviews, assess how much governance a project actually needs, and decide on justified deviations.
• Enable the reporting cycle that gives management a dependable basis for prioritization and investment decisions.
• Drive adoption of our project portfolio management platform as the single source of truth, and shape how it is used so that it supports delivery rather than adding administration.
• Coach project managers - making the standards work for them.
• Identify where a company-wide standard does not fit the specific needs of your area, and develop a substantiated proposal for adjusting it.
• Bring AI-supported ways of working into project delivery - reporting, status consolidation, early risk detection, documentation.
• Raise risks, dependencies and delivery issues early, and hold the line where delivery discipline is at stake.

Your Profile

• At least five years of experience in PMO, project, program, or portfolio management roles, ideally including a setting where you built or substantially reshaped something rather than inherited it.
• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. PMP, IPMA, or an equivalent certification is welcome.
• Practical command of project governance, project controls, portfolio prioritization, and resource transparency.
• The ability and credibility to challenge a senior stakeholder's plan constructively.
• Comfortable with ambiguity: in the first months, you will define things that do not yet exist.
• Curiosity about how AI is changing project work, and the willingness to embrace and experiment with it rather than wait for it.
• Experience with a project portfolio management platform (e.g., ServiceNow SPM, Planview, or MS Project Online) is a clear advantage.
• Fluent English; German is a strong advantage for this role. Regular presence in Leoben, with flexible working arrangements.
