Zusammenfassung

The University of Graz invites applications for a Postdoctoral position focusing on independent research in single-particle analysis. You will develop and apply optical methods to characterize individual particles, integrate elemental analysis with ICP-MS, and optimize hyphenation techniques.

Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and guidance of students are expected. We value expertise in optical trapping and Raman methods, strong English communication, and the ability to work

Qualifikationen

  • PhD in chemistry, analytical chemistry, physics, biophysics, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in single-particle analysis
  • Experience with optical methods for particle characterization or a strong motivation to develop expertise in these methods
  • Knowledge of laser safety and experience working safely with laser-based systems
  • Initial knowledge of ICP-MS and analytical hyphenation techniques or a strong willingness to develop expertise in these areas
  • Programming skills for data processing, automation, or experimental control are desirable
  • Experience with optical trapping or motivation to develop expertise in this technique is advantageous
  • Knowledge of Raman spectroscopy or interest in Raman-based methods is advantageous
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Ability to work independently, strong teamwork skills, and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 70,200.20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
