Description:

As a Product Development Technician, you will join a small team to develop new products in the field of adhesives for wood-based materials. Your primary tasks will include producing adhesives in the laboratory, conducting analytical testing, and applying the adhesives in the applications lab. This includes producing and testing wood-based material samples (e.g., particleboards), including customer samples. Additionally, you will support the implementation of newly developed adhesives in our production facilities.

Your qualifications and personal characteristics:

• Completed chemical education (apprenticeship, HTL) or qualification as a chemical laboratory/process technician.
• Responsible handling of hazardous substances (e.g., phenol, formaldehyde).
• Interest in working with wood-based materials (e.g., sample preparation using a circular saw).
• Initiative, accuracy, reliability, and team spirit.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and English (spoken and written).
• Structured and precise working style, with strong initiative and team collaboration skills.

Your main Tasks:

• Independently conducting resin syntheses and documenting results.
• Physical/chemical analysis of adhesives.
• Testing adhesives by manufacturing wood-based materials (on a laboratory scale).
• Conducting standardized testing of wood-based materials.
• Taking on general laboratory tasks (e.g., equipment maintenance).
