Infineon Technologies is seeking a Product Development Engineer in Austria to shape the future of power semiconductor products for high voltage e-mobility. You will work on SiC MOSFETs and diodes, translating requirements into robust specifications and driving characterization and reliability plans.

The role requires Master/PhD in physics or electrical engineering, 2+ years in semiconductors, and strong English skills (German a plus).

• Be responsible for the development of power semiconductor products for high voltage E-mobility applications
• Design discrete and bare products like SiC MOSFETs electrically, mechanically and thermall
• Contribute to the definition of our new products through requirement gathering and specification tailoring
• Define characterization plans and derive inputs for the product datasheet
• Participate and drive risk assessments and FMEAs

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

• Degree (Master/PhD) in Physics, Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a related technical field
• 2+ years of technical working experience in semiconductor industry
• Deep knowledge of semiconductor physics and power devices, ideally for high voltage devices (SiC MOSFETs, diodes, IGBTs)
• Knowledge in package development as well as FE/BE interaction (as an advantage)
• An innovative mindset and the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders to find the optimal technical solution
• Good programming and data analysis skills (preferably python)
• Excellent English communication skills, German is a plus

We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group G (https://www.feei.at/aktuelles/mindestloehne-und-gehaelter-eei/). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. We offer a higher compensation depending on your expertise and skills.
