Job summary

Global Hydro Energy GmbH is seeking an experienced procurement professional in Austria to lead demand planning, supplier selection, and contract negotiations with a focus on mechanical engineering procurement. The role supports strategy development and process optimization while offering the possibility to work from home.

The ideal candidate has a technical education, 10+ years in technical procurement, strong negotiation skills, and fluency in German and English. Travel up to 10% is expected.

• Completion of technical education with focus on Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in technical procurement.
• Strong negotiation skills with solid technical understanding.
• Willingness to travel ~10%.
• Business-fluent German and English (written and spoken).

• Demand planning and framework agreement negotiations with suppliers.
• Selection and management of suppliers, including performance evaluation and identifying new suppliers.
• Obtaining and comparing quotations, negotiating prices and terms with suppliers.
• Drafting and administration of contracts, monitoring delivery schedules and deviations.
• Verification of supplier invoices and processing of claims.
• Creation of purchase orders and coordination of order confirmations.
• Support Head of Procurement in developing purchasing strategies and optimizing procurement processes.

Your Tasks - What to expect

• Responsibility for demand planning and conducting framework agreement negotiations with suppliers

• Selection and management of suppliers, including performance evaluation and the identification of new potential suppliers

• Obtaining and comparing quotations, as well as negotiating prices and commercial terms with suppliers

• Drafting and administration of contracts, including monitoring delivery schedules and handling deviations

• Verification of supplier invoices and processing of claims and complaints

• Creation of purchase orders and coordination of order confirmations

• Support of the Head of Procurement in developing purchasing strategies and optimizing procurement processes

Your Profile - What you bring

• Completed technical education (HTL, University of Applied Sciences, or equivalent) with a focus on Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical procurement

• Strong negotiation skills combined with solid technical understanding

• Willingness to travel (approximately 10%)

• Business-fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken)

We offer a market-compliant gross monthly salary starting from€4.000 with a significant overpayment depending on qualifications and experience.
