Lonza in Visp, Switzerland, is seeking a Process Excellence Specialist to lead Supply Chain improvement initiatives. You will identify opportunities, run end-to-end projects, define KPIs and ensure sustained benefits across planning, inventory, logistics, manufacturing, quality, procurement, finance, EHS and digital teams.

The role is office-first with the flexibility to work remotely for about 20% of your time (one day per week), and occasional travel within Lonza's sites network and HQ.

The Process Excellence Specialist is the Operational Excellence lead for assigned Supply Chain areas and drives structured continuous improvement projects from opportunity identification through verified sustainment.

The role establishes clear problem statements, baselines, KPIs, root-cause analyses, action plans, ownership and timelines, and ensures that agreed actions are completed and deliver measurable results. Working in a matrix organization, the role leads Supply Chain initiatives and supports cross-functional projects by mobilizing the most suitable subject-matter experts while retaining project governance and momentum.

What you will do:

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience in Supply Chain, Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement or a related environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Lean and structured problem-solving tools, including A3, 5 Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa, SIPOC, FMEA, RCA and Pareto analysis.
• Strong project management, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to analyze complex operational data, identify validated root causes and implement effective countermeasures.
• Experience influencing cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
• Understanding of end-to‑end Supply Chain processes, ideally within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication, visual management and executive reporting skills.
