Job summary

The University of Vienna seeks a Scientific project assistant predoctoral to join the Leticia González group, focusing on developing new coupled-cluster methods for strongly correlated systems and applying them to magnetic materials and catalysts. You will work within Dr.

Pavel Pokhilko's team, contributing to an ASTRA Merit project, with opportunities to interact across related quantum dynamics topics. Candidates should have an MSc in chemistry/physics, strong English, and programming

Qualifications

• MSc degree in chemistry, physics, or a related field, obtained before start of employment.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of quantum mechanics and quantum chemistry.
• Experience in programming.

Responsibilities

• Develop coupled-cluster and many-body methods.
• Work on strongly correlated molecules and materials.
• Apply methods to magnetic materials and catalysts.
• Attend conferences and present research.
