Zusammenfassung

Die Universität für Bodenkultur in Wien sucht einen Postdoctoral Research Associate (Senior Lecturer) zur Unterstützung im Bereich Landschaftsplanung und Naturschutz. Mit einem Beschäftigungsausmaß von 10 oder 20 Stunden wöchentlich bieten wir eine interessante Tätigkeit im Rahmen der Hochschullehre, die Einschluss von GIS und angewandtem Naturschutz umfasst, mit einem Bruttogehalt von mindestens 2.466,50 € monatlich.

Qualifikationen

• Diplom in Landschaftsplanung oder gleichwertiger Studienabschluss erforderlich.
• Gute Kenntnisse in Deutsch und Englisch; Lehrfähigkeit und Teamarbeit sind wichtig.
• Erfahrung in der Hochschullehre von Vorteil.

Aufgaben

• Selbstständige Lehre in angewandter Naturschutzplanung und GIS.
• Vorbereitung und Durchführung von Prüfungen; Organisation von Lehrmaterialien.
• Mitwirkung an organisatorischen Aufgaben des Instituts.

Offer Description

The Departmentof Landscape Water and Infrastructure, Institute of Landscape Development, Recreation and Conservation Planning is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate (Senior Lecturer).

Extent of employment:10 or 20 hours per week
Duration of employment:1st of August 2025,limited to 31st of July 2027
Workplace: 1180 Vienna
Allocation in compliance with the Collective Agreement for University Staff to job group: B1 lit. b
Gross monthly salary: (depending on previous eligible experience) at least (for 20 hours per week): €2.466,50
(payable 14 times per year)

Responsibilities

• Self-managed teaching (non-exam-related and exam-related courses) in the field of applied nature conservation planning and geographic information systems at the Institute of Landscape Development, Recreation and Conservation Planning
• Collaboration in the preparation and revision of teaching materials such as presentations, scripts, and assignments
• Preparation of (partial) examinations
• Conducting and assesment of examinations
• Participation in organizational and administrative tasks of the institute and the university
• Participation in the implementation of the modularization of the bachelor's program in landscape planning and landscape architecture
• Participation in the modularization of the master's program in landscape planning and landscape architecture

Required skills and qualifications

• Diploma degree in Landscape Planning or other equivalent university degree
• Language skills: German and English

Desired skills and qualifications

• Fundamental knowledge of geographic information systems, familiarity with QGIS and ESRI systems
• Fundamental knowledge of applied nature conservation planning, in particular nature conservation instruments, funding systems, and the classification of biotope types and organisms (vegetation and/or insect groups)
• Teaching skills
• Ability to work in team
• Ability to organize yourself
• Experience in university teaching
• The senior lecturer should be able to combine the disciplines of geografic information systems and applied conservation planning in teaching
• Willingness to independently organize field trips
