Offer Description

The Department of Landscape, Water and Infrastructure, Institute of Green Civil Engineering is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate.

Extent of employment:40 hours per week
Duration of employment:as of now,limited to 2 years (with option of a temporary extension)
Workplace: 1190 Vienna
Allocation in compliance with the Collective Agreement for University Staff to job group: B1 lit. b
Gross monthly salary: (depending on previous eligible experience) at least: €4.932,90
(payable 14 times per year)

Responsibilities

  • Independent work in research and teaching
  • Participation in the planning abd irganisation of courses at the institute
  • Writing and contributing to scientific publications
  • Participation in research projects and conference participation
  • Co-supervision of theses (dissertations, diploma theses, bachelor theses)
  • Organisation of the institutes robot laboratory

Required skills and qualifications

  • Doctorate degree / PhD Automation technology, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, Doctoral studies of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, soil culture, architecture or equivalent

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • Experience with robotics or working with industrial robots for automated machining and manipulation processes
  • Desirable but not mandatory: Experience in timber construction or building construction
  • Desirable but not mandatory: Experience in planning and carrying out experimental investigations
  • Applicant must be fluent in English and German, with strong communication skills in both languages (spoken and written)
  • Didactic skills and involvement in teaching
