Research Lab for Aquatic Ecosystems and Health at Danube University Krems invites applications for a post-doctoral researcher to study trophic interactions in pond food webs in northern Austria. The project uses stable isotopes and lipid analysis to trace diet pathways and assess environmental responses.

You will work in a highly interactive international team and employ advanced analytical techniques in an on-site setting in Krems an der Donau.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in ecology, limnology, or a related field.
• Experience with stable isotopes and lipid analysis.
• Strong publication record and fieldwork in freshwater systems.

Aufgaben

• Investigate trophic interactions of pond food webs in northern Austria.
• Analyze responses of algae, zooplankton, and fish to environmental and dietary changes.
• Back-engineer trophic transfer of fatty acids using state-of-the-art analytical methods.
