A logistics company in Austria is seeking a hands-on team leader to manage freight operations. You will oversee the unloading and loading processes, coordinate staff, and ensure safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate has over 3 years of leadership experience in logistics and values problem-solving. This position offers a salary of $103,000, with a Monday to Friday schedule starting at 1 PM.
We are the state's Express Parts and Medical Supplies Specialist, distributing throughout NSW and extending to Southern Queensland and Victoria.
We carry parts for the Resources, Construction, Transport, Automotive, and Agricultural Industries, as well as urgent Medical, Dental and Veterinary supplies. If it's needed first thing and service matters more than price; we carry it. We don't do retail or private work. We do what we do, and no-one does it better.
Our minimum standard is a genuine 99+% plus DIFOT, and near 100% DIF.
You'll be in charge of fulfilling our service promise to our customers. You'll ensure that our trucks are unloaded in a timely manner, that the right freight is in the right cage, our linehauls are loaded as planned, and that it's done safely and efficiently.
You will have a staff of up to 6 sorters and 5 loaders on the floor. You will also look after 12 PUD drivers and 5 Linehaul drivers in the unload and loading process. You will be amongst them providing drive and direction.
You won't spend your day on a computer, and less than an hour a week in meetings, other than ones you call yourself for your own staff. This is a \'doing\' job.
You will work roughly 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, starting at 1 PM. You will earn a salary of $103 000.
First and foremost: you'll care. We care about what we do and how we do it, so will you. You'll believe that problems are for solving, not for making excuses about. That teams are for building, and deadlines are for meeting.
You're probably the sort of person who is driven nuts by big slow-moving businesses. You'll be high-energy and do more and talk less.
You'll know how to get the best out your team by getting them on board with your goals.
You'll know how freight should be sorted, how runs should work, and which laws need to be followed. You'll communicate plainly and succinctly. There\'s nothing grey about what we do: either it's right or it's wrong, and you'll ensure that we do what's right.
This is a hands-on job that we see as a critical role, and will reward accordingly.
Minimum 3+ years of team leadership experience is required.
