Qualifikationen

• MSc in Engineering Geology, Earth Sciences, Geological Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related fields.
• Experience with or interest in point cloud analysis is considered an asset.
• Strong interest in debris flow mechanisms.
• Strong interest and/or background in landslide hazard and risk assessment.

Aufgaben

• Install and operate debris flow monitoring systems during field work.
• Analyze field data and develop velocity and flow depth estimates from sensors and imagery.
• Perform field work at five study sites to understand sediment transfer.
• Develop new methods to understand and manage debris flows.
