Description

As a Product Specialist within the Syneos Health–Client team, you will play a key role in supporting the launch of a product across your assigned region.

Your core responsibility is to build awareness of the product’s value in treating insomnia, primarily engaging with psychiatrists and neurologists in both primary and secondary care settings. You will identify and engage relevant healthcare professionals, drive change within current treatment pathways, and act as the lead orchestrator of the local customer journey.

The role includes developing regional business plans to drive uptake, managing field activities and travel, and selecting the most effective channels for HCP engagement – whether in person or remote. You will lead data-driven, value-based conversations and help shape the product’s success in a complex launch environment.

Job Responsibilities

The primary role responsibilities will involve, but not be restricted to, the following activities:

  1. Coverage of an agreed territory; the PS will identify and develop HCP value-based interactions using approved materials/media, along with company data and insights to proactively interact across primary and secondary care whilst ensuring alignment to national and regional launch strategy.
  2. Ensure interactions are delivered with competency and quality, building a strong differentiated approach to customer interactions.
  3. Create, adapt, and deliver on a well-defined business plan within budget and agreed timelines.
  4. Deliver sales, activity, and other key performance metrics as deemed suitable.
  5. Successfully complete the distance learning and any face-to-face initial training programme and any subsequent training deemed necessary.
  6. Use of Veeva Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to support planning, targeting, segmentation, sequential selling, territory analysis, and administration.
  7. Provide periodic qualitative feedback on communication effectiveness, detailing support materials, and main objections from HCPs.
  8. Present clinical, financial, and value-based solutions using approved materials/media to key decision makers within the therapeutic area.
  9. Educate healthcare professionals on the safe, appropriate, and effective use of the product to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  10. Identify HCPs with a special interest in Insomnia to support advocacy and assess their importance to the local business.
  11. Identify and assess local opportunities, present business cases for additional support or investment.
  12. Develop long-term relationships with HCPs interested in insomnia.
  13. Collaborate with team members and at regional and national meetings to promote a culture of support and sharing best practices.
  14. Work closely with the MSL team to organize round tables and develop regional experts.
  15. Share insights on market dynamics and competitor activity with marketing and stakeholders.
  16. Manage communication channels, including digital channels.
  17. Comply with all SOPs and ethical practices, ensuring activities are compliant with local rules and regulations.

Qualification Requirements

Education:

  • Fulfills legal requirements for medical reps in country (72 AMG).
  • University Degree – Life Sciences preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in Primary or Secondary Care Sales with successful achievements.
  • Product launch experience, especially in CNS and/or Neurology, is desirable.
  • Existing relationships with HCPs interested in insomnia, including GPs, Psychiatrists, and Neurologists, are advantageous.
  • Experience applying multi-channel approaches, including e-detailing and digital methods.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, team-oriented, with a positive attitude.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, viewing challenges as opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication, selling, and persuasion skills.
  • Strong achievement drive and willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Excellent territory planning, management, and organizational skills.
  • Curious, strategic networker who builds and executes effective plans.

  • Proficient with Veeva CRM and digital resources to achieve sales targets efficiently.
