Job Opportunity: Payroll Specialist

Our client, a well-known and nationally recognized business at the forefront of their industry, is seeking a highly skilled payroll professional for a multifaceted role. The position involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll record maintenance while adhering to statutory legislation and company policies. Position Details

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Processing payroll in accordance with Awards, Agreements, Company Policies, FairWork, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, and other legislative requirements.
  2. Ensuring payments to staff are compliant, accurate, and timely.
  3. Educating the team on legislative changes.
  4. Identifying process improvements within current systems and governance frameworks.
  5. Conducting audits and reviews.
  6. Responding to escalated payroll queries and resolving discrepancies efficiently.
  7. Preparing and reviewing payroll reports.
Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a senior payroll role with strong technical knowledge of compliance and governance.
  • Ability to identify, implement, and optimize payroll technologies.
  • Confidence in stakeholder engagement, both internal and external.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in reviewing and updating procedural documentation.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
