A leading financial advisory firm in Austria is seeking a Paraplanner to prepare compliant Statements of Advice and work closely with Financial Advisors. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in paraplanning and a strong knowledge of Australian financial regulations. Paraplanner Responsibilities:
Work closely with our Paraplanners and Financial Advisors to be guided on appropriate strategies.
Preparing detailed compliant Statements of Advice (SOA) in line with AFSL requirements.
Stay abreast of, and adapt to, changes in regulations and compliance.
A minimum of 2 years paraplanning experience.
Strong working knowledge of XPLAN.
Attention to detail with a pride in your work.
Building and maintaining strong, long-term collegial relationships with internal staff and peers, offering them ongoing advice and support.
Monitoring financial products and regulatory changes to provide up-to-date advice.
Collaborating with other colleagues (advisers, admin, management) to ensure holistic advice.
Attending networking and industry events to stay connected with the financial planning community to further develop skills and knowledge.
Overseeing financial administration tasks, including compliance, document preparation, and account management.
Key Attributes:
Technical Expertise:Extensive knowledge of superannuation, investment vehicles, retirement planning, and Australian tax laws.
Strong Communication Skills:The ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts.
Regulatory Knowledge:A solid understanding of Australian financial regulations, including compliance with the Corporations Act, Financial Planners and Advisers Code of Ethics, and adherence to AFSL standards.
Analytical Skills:Strong ability to analyse financial markets and economic conditions to formulate and adapt strategies.
Problem-Solving Skills:Ability to offer creative solutions to complex financial problems.
Qualifications & Experience:
A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in paraplanning roles in Australia.
Credible knowledge of Australian taxation, superannuation, and estate planning.
Experience working with high-net-worth individuals is highly desirable.
